Field Trip: Cottage School Pumpkin Patch

Today we got to go to the Pumpkin Patch with Olivia’s Cottage School Kindergarten Class. The wind almost blew us all over, but the kids didn’t seem to notice and had a great time!

The field trip consisted of both the morning and afternoon Kindergarten class. And since the wind was so terrible (50 –60 mph gusts) the teacher wisely delayed our departure so we wouldn’t have to spend so much time out in it. Here is the fall craft the kids did while waiting.

While the “students” were working on their craft, the siblings got to play on the Friendship Carpet. Olivia was super excited to have Isaiah with her and was showing him off to everyone!

Field Trip: Garden of the Gods

IMG_0384

We took a hiking field trip for PE a couple Friday’s ago to The Garden of the Gods. From the second I said “hiking” Olivia didn’t want any part of it, but I was determined…especially since it is such a beautiful place to hike. We tried a “real” trail at first. Well, you can see how well that went. After about 10 minutes we headed back to the car and drove down to the paved trails, where things went a thousand times better!

Can you see the famous “Kissing Camels” at the top of the rock?

Not ready to hike Pikes Peak yet…though Olivia insisted she was…but, gotta love hiking under its shadow.

Isaiah napped for most of our hour long walk around the park.
