First Day of Preschool - August 4th 2010

So yes, we have jumped into the world of organized preschool! This was a very tough decision to come to, mainly because I felt like we had to decide right now if we are going to home school...like it was do or don't and never look back over our shoulders. Well, once I finally relaxed about the whole thing, sought out wisdom from ladies I truly trust, worked through it with JP, and prayed she is enrolled in a fabulous Christian preschool 2 days a week...

...and we get to do our thing at home the remaining days. Yay!!! This is the step the Lord has led us to for this year. Next year...the big Kindergarten year...will have worries of its own, and I'm confident the Lord will reveal that plan when it's time.

For now here's some pictures of Olivia's first day of preschool:

Above: calmly walking to the car...

Below: ...or maybe not so calmly. A rough morning. She had enjoyed visiting her classroom, meeting her teacher, packing her backpack, and learning about her new morning routine; but when the rubber hit the road it was a whole lot of crying...all through breakfast, all through dressing, all through brushing teeth, all through everything until I dropped her off...

...and then all smiles when I picked her up. When I asked her her favorite part of the day she said, "seeing you." Oh sweet girl melts my heart!

And she definitely was excited to see the surprise waiting for her in the car. The new Sweetpea Beauty Veggie Tales Movie. Maybe preschool isn't so bad after all (o: Fortunately she has stopped crying on preschool mornings, but she still doesn't want to go and grips my hand all the way to her room. Her teacher says she's doing great, which is good news for my heart...and she even comes home with extra smiley stickers on her daily report, so she's doing very well. I know she's having fun because she talks about her new friends, but every day her favorite part of the day is seeing me (o:
