Update

While I went to the Writer's Conference, JP took Olivia to the zoo to meet Dora. I was so proud of him...he even dressed her like Dora down to the yellow socks (they were both still in bed when I left).
Mommy's little helper. Olivia has become a huge helper. She loves to help me in the kitchen, at the grocery story, around the house...at least most days (o:
We enrolled Olivia in a fabulous preschool at our new church when we got here. She went two mornings a week and it gave me some time to help us get settled a little quicker. They had praise and worship on Fridays, which she absolutely loved. At their closing program she walked in with her class, yelled "hi JP" when she saw us, and then went on stage with her class to sing their songs. It was so precious to see our little girl getting right into it!
Now at church if she's with us during the singing she says, "Mommy, raise your hands!"

So, I guess it has been a while since I posted anything on our blog. I've really gotten into Facebook, so I've neglected blogging. I love the interactive nature of Facebook and have gotten to reconnect and share with long distance friends in a way the blog doesn't allow, so, if you're not on Facebook yet that's where you'll find me most of the time (o:

I'll try to do a quick update on how we're doing since we moved. We've had a little bit of a difficult time adjusting, but now that we have settled into a church (that I love, love, love) and are starting with a small group life is starting to feel more normal. Even Olivia is breaking out of her shell in ways we've never seen before...I never thought I would see her enjoy being up on a stage singing!!!! And she's made a new best friend. A couple of Saturday's ago we spent the morning painting at the church with our new small group and then that evening we all went out for a 5 course pizza dinner that was so yummy!!! But Olivia had to go to a babysitter. JP called the small group pastor at the church who just happened to have a teenage daughter who could watch Olivia at their house. We were a little worried because she is such a mommy and daddy's little girl, but God did a miracle for us, and she walked into that house, started playing with their 3 year old daughter Elizabeth like they had been best friends all their lives!!! Elizabeth invited Olivia to spend the night on her extra bed, and that night when I was tucking Olivia in she said she wanted to go sleep in Elizabeth's bed. We had a blast, and Olivia had a blast!!! Now she can't wait for them to get back from vacation so she can see her friend again.

JP is loving his new job. He's doing his dream job of photography, advertising, and public affairs. Right now he's out of town coordinating a photo shoot, and from what I can tell he is having a blast. All those moments of coordinating us for photo shoots is paying off in his professional life now (o:

I've been a little lonely, but have started making a couple of friends. My highlight here has been going to the Kentucky Christian Writer's Conference last week. I spent all day Friday and most of Saturday being inspired and encouraged in my writing. I got to meet with one editor who gave me some great feedback. He asked me to submit what he looked at, which I did today. We'll see...it's for a devotional publication and can take over a year to know. They distribute their publication all over the world so it takes a lot of time for them to gather, decide, and then translate. My goal though is to submit at least one thing a week somewhere...we'll see (o:

I guess that's about it for now. I will post pictures and updates more frequently again for those of you who are not on Facebook. Love you guys and would love to hear from you!!!
