Our little garden is producing a harvest (o: Olivia and I sat on the grass yesterday and picked the few ripe peas we had and ate them right then and there...yummmy! We also picked and ate the carrots. We got a few beens, a ton of lettuce and swiss chard, a little spinach, and two small beets that make just enough beet puree for pink pancackes. There is more to come, though. Looks like lots and lots of flowering on the beens and quite a few more peas just needing a little more maturing time. She keeps asking if the blueberries and raspberries are ready yet, but they are just little sticks yet...the harvest will come next year (o: I tried telling her that we are a lot like the fruits and vegetables, we have to sow in our lives today what we want to harvest tomorrow, next week, and next year; but I think it was a little over her head for now. But you never know a little seed planted in her mind today, watered tomorrow, just might produce a bounitful harvest in 18 years (o: I'm trying...after all, she pulled out the ladybug costume she wore two years ago and said "I wore this in Colorado." How does she remember that?
