Sweet Little Princess

Olivia hit the "I want to dress up" with full force this past week...Cinderella, ballernina, Minnie Mouse...and of course JP and I have to join in too. Last week-end we had a wonderful meal with our neighbors Jeff and Karen; and Olivia insisted on wearing her Cinderella outfit from the crown to the glass slippers. Of course, she (and JP) insisted I wear a crown too. So we trotted (Princesses we are, graceful we are not...around here every few minutes we hear "clunk" then Olivia says, "I fell down...I'm okay.") next door in our get up and as soon as we stepped inside their house, my wonderful friend Karen ran to her room to get her own crown! For the next 2 hours it was 3 princesses surrounded by our 3 princes (they have a 4 year old son Ethan who Olivia talks about all the time, then becomes extremely shy whenever he's around).

With all this dress up fun it shouldn't shock us too much when she wants to play outside in her ballerina tutu, go to Lowes in her tutu, and even play with her Black & Decker tools in her tutu. She is, after all, God's Little Princess! (If you haven't read the "Gigi" series by Sheila Walsh, you need to pick it up...especially if you have a little girl. It's one of our favorites!)

With all boys around here I never get to wear my crown, I always have to play construction or be a piarte. I was thrilled to be a princess for a little while.
