Princess Potty Party

I came across this fabulous book titled "Potty Train Your Child in a Day." Basically, you throw a big party where you teach your child's doll how to use the potty in the morning, and then in the afternoon you teach your child. Of course, it's not really done in a day because to lay the foundation you first work on teaching your child to wash their own hands, pull down and up their own pants, and the basics of potties such as toilet paper and flushing. So we had been working on all that even letting Olivia practice sitting on the potty before the big day. And of course, I made sure she was exhibiting signs of readiness such as staying dry longer and telling me when she had gone "Number 2" in her diaper. Here's pictures from the Big Day.
We watched lots of potty videos and read lots of potty books...
...made crafts in between Baby Emma's "accidents" and successes...
...I made a fun picture for the bathroom door...
...Olivia loved giving Baby Emma sitckers for her potty chart and treats for a job well done (of course Olivia got to eat the M&Ms, cheese, and melon...
