The Pumpkin Patch

A couple of weeks ago we took Olivia to my Uncle Deon's house to pick apples. While there she discovered the joys of a fresh picked, whole apple. So, when we took her to the Happy Apple Farm to choose a pumpkin, she was more interested in picking the apples. She chose her very own apple from the bucket, which she very happily munched on while we took the hay ride out to the pumpkins, and while she hunted for her very own pumpkin. She immediately spotted this pumpkin, dropped her apple, bent down to touch the pumpkin making sure I knew which one she wanted, and then promptly wanted her apple back. The great pumpkin search took all of 1 minute. Then she stood in the middle of the pumpkin patch devouring the rest of her apple (everything but the stem, which I rescued from her mouth just in time) and watching as everyone else carefully sought out the perfect pumpkin!
